Welcome to Cascade Culinary Arts School
Our purpose is to provide an industry-recognized chef training program with the basic levels of intermediate and institutional cooking, and job readiness skills.
Our mission is delivering superior culinary training through a balanced approach while transforming lives.
Cascade Culinary Arts School is accredited with PCTIA, the Private Career Training Institutions Agency of BC. As well as certifying the high level of credibility of the school, this designation allows students to potentially receive government student loans or apply for Federal and Provincial assistance to registered BC apprentices. Accreditation also means that, upon completion of this officially recognized training program, graduates will have the opportunity to qualify to move into Professional Cook Level 2 training.

Since October of 2003, we have held provincial contract to provide part-time Professional Cook Levels 1 and 2 training. These courses are offered in twenty-three sessions over a twenty week period, and have the advantage of allowing cooks in the Fraser Valley to take their training locally so they can continue their employment while they develop their skill base. A Training Program You Can Trust
Our culinary arts program began in 1993 with the purpose of helping unemployed adults gain skills for employment. Our first class consisted of four students for four months. Over the years, we added many components to our program to meet the needs of the students and to provide industry standard curriculum. Several of our students have chosen to further their studies to receive their Red Seal designation. In 2003 we became accredited by PCTIA, the Private Career Training Institutions Agency of BC. This designation allows students to apply for Federal and Provincial assistance to registered BC apprentices. We have an on-going process to ensure that the school meets the high level of standards expected by PCTIA, ITA, StudentAid and, of course, industry employers. Employers regularly seek to hire our students; we have one of the highest job placement rates in British Columbia for our graduate chefs.
